Treasury De-Gens Crown Stablecoins as MVP While Finance Bros Issue 'No-Coin, No-Deal' Ultimatum

Ripple's new survey of over a thousand finance bigwigs reveals that digital assets have officially graduated from "fringe casino experiment" to "strategic must-have," like a degen finally learning to hedge.

Competitive pressure: A full 70% of these suits now say that if your firm isn't offering a digital-asset solution, you might as well be competing with a dial-up modem and a fax machine.

Stablecoin supremacy: Forget just being a payment rail; 74% see stablecoins as the ultimate treasury tool for juicing cash-flow efficiency and unlocking working capital, basically turning your balance sheet into a yield farm.

Fintech leads the charge: The fintech cowboys are predictably ahead of the herd – 31% are already using stablecoins to collect customer payments, and 29% accept them directly, because who has time for a three-day ACH settlement? Nearly half (47%) plan to build their own infrastructure, while the rest are happy to outsource the custody headache to a third party.

Banks and asset managers: The old guard is finally peeking over the wall, with both camps eyeing tokenization like kids at a candy store window. 89% of the interested parties want safe storage and custody sorted first, because not your keys, not your tokens – a lesson they learned the hard way. Banks are focused on token management (82%), while asset managers dream of distribution (80%), aiming to fractionalize everything that isn't nailed down.

Security is non-negotiable: A near-unanimous 97% flagged security certifications like ISO and SOC 2 as critical, with operational support and niche experience also high on the wishlist. Basically, they want Fort Knox-level security with the customer service of a concierge, which is a step up from "trust me, bro."

Bottom line: Digital assets, especially the boring-but-essential stablecoins, are now viewed as a strategic necessity. The infrastructure choices made today are expected to shape tomorrow's competitive edge, meaning the race to build the best digital vault is officially on.
