MOVR Taking a Nap: Binance Pauses Moonriver Traffic for Technical Tune-Up
Binance is putting Moonriver (MOVR) in a cozy little timeout. The exchange announced it'll support the planned network upgrade, which means MOVR deposits and withdrawals are about to experience some well-deserved rest and relaxation—whether they want it or not.
Specifically, Binance will suspend all Moonriver token deposits and withdrawals on March 30, 2026, at approximately 3:00 PM Turkish time. The upgrade is scheduled to hit block height 15,692,116 and is expected to wrap up around 4:00 PM Turkish time the same day. Set your alarms, degens.
Good news for traders: spot trading continues uninterrupted. Because nothing says "exciting upgrade" quite like being able to buy and sell while the plumbing gets fixed. You can still yolo into MOVR while the validators do the actual work. Luxury.
Once the network stabilizes post-upgrade, deposit and withdrawal operations will resume. Binance recommends users plan their MOVR transactions ahead of time to avoid any nasty surprises. In other words: don't be that guy flooding support tickets at 3:01 PM wondering why your withdrawal is pending.
As always with these technical updates, expect performance improvements and security enhancements. Investors should keep an eye on official announcements—because reading about upgrades is more fun than dealing with unexpected downtime. Much more fun than watching your portfolio bleed while you wait for a node to sync.
