Shibarium's Explorer Takes a Nap: Transaction Count Drops 85% While Blockchain Actually Keeps Chugging Along

Shibarium, Shiba Inu's Layer-2 network, just experienced what can only be described as a dramatic transaction nosedive—plunging more than 85% within 24 hours. Daily transactions fell from a brief moment of glory at 10,940 on March 26 down to a humble 1,580. Ouch.
But before you dust off your panic button, here's the plot twist: the blockchain itself is fine. The issue? Shibarium's explorer, Shibariumscan, is currently undergoing some much-needed TLC in the form of major infrastructure upgrades.
The team is migrating to new servers, rebuilding the entire explorer, and performing a full chain re-index. As a result, the explorer is showing incomplete data—like that time you tried to read your bank statement during a system outage. For context, it currently shows around 1.36 billion total transactions when the real number is closer to 1.56 billion. The blocks are also taking a temporary vacation from accurate display.
So what's actually driving the remaining activity? Mostly smart contract calls from our friendly neighborhood bots, with a healthy helping of "Value 0 BONE" transactions. Very exciting, we're sure.
