The number of high-value $XRP holders keeps climbing, with on-chain data showing that addresses holding at least one million $XRP are now dangerously close to hitting the 2,000 mark—because apparently, whales just can't resist a good exclusive membership.

The breakdown looks like this: 1,333 accounts sit in the 1 million to 5 million $XRP range, while 166 addresses control between 5 million and 10 million $XRP. Another 176 accounts hold 10 million to 20 million $XRP, and 234 wallets contain 20 million to 100 million $XRP. For those keeping score at home, that's a lot of commas in the wrong places.

At the bigger fish end of the pond, 63 addresses hold between 100 million and 500 million $XRP, 19 wallets fall in the 500 million to 1 billion range, and just 6 accounts hold more than 1 billion $XRP. Six whole humans—or bots, or a very dedicated ham sandwich—collectively holding billions. The irony of "decentralization" has not been lost on anyone.

When you add it all up, the number of $XRP millionaire addresses—defined as those holding at least 1 million $XRP—stands at 1,997. Just three more wallets away from a round number that would absolutely break Twitter's engagement algorithms. Almost there, lads.

These whales control a massive chunk of supply. Addresses with 100 million to 500 million $XRP collectively hold over 12.07 billion $XRP. Those in the 500 million to 1 billion range account for more than 10.15 billion $XRP. And wallets holding over 1 billion $XRP together control approximately 9.23 billion $XRP. For context, that's enough XRP to personally apologize to everyone on Earth approximately three times over, if apologies were a cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, mid-tier holders make up a substantial portion of the network: 2,021 accounts hold between 500,000 and 1 million $XRP, and 28,034 addresses sit in the 100,000 to 500,000 range. The upper-middle class of the XRP ecosystem, if you will—certainly not struggling, but definitely not picking up the tab either.

But the little guys dominate in terms of wallet count. Over 2.55 million addresses hold between 20 and 500 $XRP, and nearly 3.8 million accounts contain less than 20 $XRP. The retail army. The true believers. The
