Not an April Fools' Joke: Magic Eden Wallet Goes Bye-Bye April 1st

If you've been lounging around holding SOL in Magic Eden's wallet, it's time to wake up and smell the coffee—or at least export your keys before they vanish into the digital void. Sleeping on your keys in this market is basically a contact sport with your own portfolio.

Magic Eden is pulling the plug on its multi-chain crypto wallet on April 1st. The NFT marketplace-turned-crypto casino and sportsbook announced it's winding down wallet operations, with app store listings and support officially ending tomorrow. Nothing says "trust us with your assets" like launching a casino and then yeeting your wallet into the sun.

Nothing says "fun web3 UX" like remembering which format your keys are in.

Magic Eden launched with a Solana NFT focus back in 2021 but has since pivoted hard. The company launched Dicey—a crypto casino—as part of its strategic shift beyond digital collectibles back in January. That announcement also indicated it would end support for NFTs on Ethereum, Ethereum-based chains, and Bitcoin, where it was once the leader in Ordinals and Runes trading. From floor rugs to
