Interactive Brokers Drops Crypto Menu in Europe: 11 Tokens, Zero Hash-Powered

Interactive Brokers (Nasdaq: IBKR) is finally letting Europeans taste the forbidden fruit—crypto—via a Zero Hash integration, the S&P 500 firm announced on Tuesday. Eligible EEA investors can now trade 11 cryptocurrencies alongside their traditional assets through Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited, because apparently boring portfolios needed more volatility.

The trading menu includes BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, LINK, SOL, ADA, XRP, DOGE, AVAX, and SUI. Users can access these via Trader Workstation, IBKR Desktop, Client Portal, IBKR Mobile, and IBKR GlobalTrader—so basically every platform they've ever built, now with extra degen energy.

The platforms continue offering stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds, and mutual funds—because why not let traders do it all in one place? CEO Milan Galik said the expansion helps clients "manage risk, liquidity, and capital more efficiently across their entire portfolio." Translation: please put some of that sweet crypto volatility in your index fund portfolio so we can take a fee either way.

For those outside the EEA: US traders access crypto through Interactive Brokers LLC, while UK users go through Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited. Sorry, Brits—you get to watch from the sidelines while the EU finally gets to touch the magic internet money.
