Bitget Wallet Finally Notices XRP Ledger Exists, Grants 90M Users VIP Access to Payments That Don’t Cost a Fortune

Bitget Wallet has officially added the XRP Ledger to its roster, handing its 90 million users a backstage pass to XRP transfers, RLUSD shenanigans, and cross-chain swaps—because apparently someone at Bitget cracked open the XRPL whitepaper and didn’t immediately fall asleep.

The integration gifts XRPL a much-needed retail glow-up while sliding Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD, into a wallet that actually prioritizes payments over degenerate leverage trading—a novelty in this space, like finding a functioning light switch in a cave.

The rollout now embeds XRPL into Bitget Wallet’s Onchain Payments Matrix, a fancy term for “we connected blockchains to real-world rails,” including bank transfers, cards, and merchants, because money should move faster than your last failed altcoin exit.

Users can now send and receive XRP and RLUSD on XRPL like civilized humans, hop between chains with the grace of a multi-asset frog, tap into fiat ramps for RLUSD like they’re not stuck in a 2017 onboarding nightmare, and interact with XRPL-based dapps without needing a PhD in blockchain archaeology.

Ripple insists RLUSD is issued natively on both XRP Ledger and Ethereum, fully backed by segregated cash and cash equivalents, and redeemable 1:1 for USD—so unless the auditors are all bots, it might actually be legit. That structure has made RLUSD a visible contender in the regulated stablecoin showdown, even if it’s still warming up in the minor leagues next to USDT and USDC.

For XRPL, the Bitget Wallet collab is like finally getting a featured slot on a music app after years of underground mixtapes—another retail distribution channel as the network aggressively pivots to payments and real-world utility. The XRPL website sells itself as the “cheap and fast” option, and with Bitget now pushing native card spending, maybe we’ll see XRP used for coffee instead of just courtroom drama.

Bitget Wallet pitched the integration as part of its grand vision: transforming crypto wallets from dusty crypto vaults into full financial operating systems. To sweeten the deal, they’re rolling out limited-time incentives—because nothing says “adopt this tech” like free tokens and a countdown timer.
