PlanB Hits the Brakes on the Bull Run: $54k Detour on the Moon Ticket?

Bitcoin finally caught a lucky break in March 2026, gaining a whopping 2% and ending what can only be described as a truly miserable five-month losing streak. But before you start planning the lambo emoji parade, pseudonymous analyst PlanB is here to throw ice water on your celebratory champagne and remind everyone that the crypto world absolutely loves a good rug-pull plot twist.

The flagship cryptocurrency hit its all-time high of $126,198 back in October 2025. Since then, $BTC has been on what can only be described as the world's most expensive scenic detour, shedding over 41% across five consecutive months of soul-crushing red candles, per TradingView data. That's right, hodlers—your portfolio has been performing worse than your New Year's resolutions.

Currently, Bitcoin is trading around $68,702—up nearly 3% in the past 24 hours—giving it a market cap of approximately $1.36 trillion and a 24-hour trading volume of about $43.45 billion. In normal person terms, that's enough money to buy roughly 43 million Tesla Cybertrucks, if anyone actually wanted one.

The sentiment shift is real, folks. CoinMarketCap's Fear and Greed Index climbed from Extreme Fear territory earlier in March to a slightly less panicky Fear reading of 32 on April 1. Some bulls are cautiously poking their heads out of their bunkers, squinting at the sunlight and whispering "maybe?" to each other.

From the bullish camp, Bitcoin closed Q1 with a textbook retest and bounce from its 2021 peak near $69,000, which ActivTrades analysts say could spark a relief rally in Q2.
