XRP Decides It Needs 'More Time Alone' at the $1.50 Door

By our Markets Desk2 min read

XRP is sitting at a crossroads, thumbs scrolling through rejection texts while bulls wait for a callback that isn't coming.

The asset has taken a 26% nosedive year-to-date and continues to ghost the key resistance zone between $1.40 and $1.50. Analyst Hov points out that while other altcoins are out here doing yoga stretches in bullish diagonal patterns, XRP just sits there, refusing to participate. Classic XRP energy—watching everyone else succeed from the sidelines, probably muttering "they're overexaggerating" under its breath.

The chart structure reads like XRP's therapist notes. Its movement from recent lows comes in three-wave patterns (labeled W-X-Y for the Elliott Wave crowd) rather than a stronger five-wave impulse—like showing up to a marathon but only committing to walking the first quarter mile. These corrective waves whisper a simple truth: this bounce is temporary, not a full glow-up. Hov interprets this as XRP still being in its villain arc, not ready to become the protagonist of a new upward saga.

Currently lounging around $1.33, XRP dawdles just below the critical resistance box between $1.40 and $1.50. If XRP finally decides to break above $1.50 and close there on a higher timeframe, momentum might finally swipe right toward $1.80. If not, weakness keeps the party pooper energy going.

On the support side, we have landing pads at $1.146 (0.5 Fibonacci level) and $0.884 (0.618 level). Hov warns that volume profile shows about as much support below current levels as XRP's social life—limited. This could accelerate selling pressure faster than a hack announcement on a Sunday.

The bigger picture remains intact, but only if XRP holds above $0.93, which it recorded as its Wave 1 peak back in July 2023. This level serves as the main invalidation point for the broader bullish structure—the place where bulls go to cry and Wave 5 targets around $8.1 go to die. So basically, keep that $0.93 line intact or start drafting your "I knew it was a scam" tweets.
