Quantum Whales WAGMI: Algorand Rides Post-Quantum Narrative to 13% Daily Pump

Algorand extended its rally this week, gaining 13% in 24 hours and 44% over the past week to $0.12—outpacing the broader crypto market by a wide margin. While most alts were busy doing their usual impression of a deflating balloon, $ALGO decided to moon like it had insider information on the quantum apocalypse.

The surge follows a Google research paper titled "Securing Elliptic Curve Cryptocurrencies against Quantum Vulnerabilities," published March 31, which highlighted Algorand as an early adopter of post-quantum protocols. Apparently, when Google starts worrying about quantum computers munching through your private keys, they scrolled past the usual suspects and landed on Algorand's name. In crypto, that's basically a Nobel Prize.

Google researchers specifically called out Algorand's deployment of Falcon digital signatures for smart transactions and state proofs, noting its first PQC-secured transaction executed in 2025 and native key rotation capabilities.
