Altcoin Season Index Stuck at 32: The Wait Continues While BTC ETFs Keep on Giving

By our Markets Desk2 min read

The altcoin season remains a pipe dream, folks. CoinGecko recently pointed out what many already suspected—altcoins have been stuck in a prolonged slump, and the market is refusing to follow historical patterns. It's like waiting for your dealer to text back during a drought: you know it's not happening, but hope springs eternal.

Typically, capital rotates from Bitcoin into Ethereum and then into other altcoins once Bitcoin hits a new all-time high. Bitcoin already smashed through its ATH of $126,000 back in October 2025, yet here we are with altcoins still gathering dust in the gutter. The playbook said alts should be popping off by now. You might as well rename it the "sad Pepe index" at this point.

Santiment's Weighted Sentiment analysis paints an equally grim picture—Bitcoin is the only token showing positive sentiment, while the rest are wallowing in negative territory below the 50-level mark. And if that wasn't enough, the RSI for all tokens including Bitcoin sitting below 50 suggests sellers are running the show. Even Bitcoin's RSI is crying. This is the crypto equivalent of everyone at the party standing in the corner, too scared to make a move.

Some in the community still hold out hope, insisting altseason is "just around the corner." But the data? It's looking skeptical. Until Bitcoin dominance weakens and tokens like Dogecoin, Solana, and Cardano start trending in the top 10, it seems like we're stuck in Bitcoin season for the
