Civilization Might Die Tonight, But Bitcoin Only Dropped $2K—Market's Got Its Priorities Straight

By our Markets Desk1 min read

Bitcoin pulled back to the $68,000 area after touching $70,000 on Monday, as traders anxiously await President Trump's Tuesday deadline demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The apex predator of crypto barely flinched at potential WWIII, showing the kind of composure usually reserved for stablecoin pegs that have no business being that calm.

In a dramatic Tuesday morning Truth Social post, Trump warned, "A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again." He added, "I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world." For those keeping score at home, this is apparently worse than the 2017 ICO craze, which also promised the end of civilization but only ended regular people who bought Akroma at launch.
