Binance's 41st 'Trust Us Bro' Update: PAXG Gets the Golden Ticket as BTC and ETH Bags Shrink

Binance just dropped its 41st proof-of-reserve report (snapshot date: April 1), because apparently quarterly updates weren't enough to soothe the FTX-shaped trauma still haunting the crypto space. Someone at Binance clearly thought, "You know what would make people forget about that whole 'losing customer funds' nightmare? More spreadsheets. Many, many more spreadsheets."

The world's largest exchange confirms the usual suspects remain excessively overcollateralized: BTC at 100.03%, USDT at a comfy 105.62%, ETH sitting pretty at 100.00%, and BNB just vibing at 100.96%. Nothing to see here, just your friendly neighborhood exchange being friendly-neighborhoody. It's almost like they're trying a little too hard to prove they have the math on their side. Cute.

This month's star addition? PAX Gold ($PAXG), because nothing screams "we take this seriously" quite like adding a gold-backed token to the collection. The inclusion bumps the total reserve count to 49 cryptocurrencies, ranging from blue chips like SOL and AAVE to the more... eclectic picks like PEPE and that one called literally just "S." Yes, the letter S. No, we're not making this up. Someone filed the paperwork for a token named after a Sesame Street character and it actually shipped.

One small detail for the conspiracy theorists: user holdings of both BTC and ETH actually decreased compared to March. But we're sure that's just... normal rebalancing. Totally normal. Probably just a few whales moving house. Nothing to do with the fact that everyone's been moving everything off exchanges since 2022. Coincidence, I'm sure. Nothing to see here, officer.

Binance's PoR mechanism lets anyone verify their assets are backed 1:1, which is pretty neat if you're into that sort of thing. Think of it as the crypto equivalent of that one friend who constantly says "I'm not weird, I'm just an Aquarius." Trust us, everything checks out on paper. The numbers don't lie, they just happen to live in a spreadsheet created by the same people whose customer support tickets go unanswered for 47 business days.

This month's full guest list includes USDT, ETH, BNB, SOL, FDUSD, ENJ, 1INCH, CRV, MASK, HFT, BUSD, AAVE, ASTER, BCH, BOME, ENA, FORM, HBAR, NEAR, PAXG, PENDLE, PEPE, RLUSD, S, SUI, TRUMP, U, USD1, USDE, WIF, and WLFI. Yes, there are now 31 tokens on this list, all ready and waiting to be verified by absolutely anyone with a calculator and a suspicious amount of free time.
