CoreWeave Catches Meta's FOMO, Locks In $21B AI Compute Deal Through 2032

CoreWeave (CRWV) and Meta (META) have broadened their existing partnership, upgrading from a $14.2 billion arrangement to a fresh deal worth around $21 billion. CoreWeave will supply dedicated cloud capacity to Meta through 2032, powering the development and rollout of its AI technologies. Because when you're building the metaverse 2.0 and need more GPU than a small nation, you don't mess around with spot instances.

The infrastructure will span multiple locations and feature early deployments of NVIDIA's (NVDA) Vera Rubin platform—because nothing says "we mean business" like getting your hands on next-gen silicon before everyone else. Meta is essentially front-running the entire AI industry like a degen with insider info at a presale.

The Vera Rubin platform marks a potential pivot from simple "Generative AI" to "Agentic AI," whereby AI becomes more proactive in executing steps toward its goals rather than relying on human prompts. A key focus of the agreement is inference, reflecting the industry's shift toward running AI systems continuously rather than just training them. Think of it as AI going from a chatty intern to an automated trading bot that actually executes while you sleep—revolutionary stuff.

"This is another example that leading companies are choosing CoreWeave's AI cloud to run their most demanding workloads," said CEO Michael Intrator. The man isn't wrong—when your compute needs could power a small country's grid, you don't host on a $50 VPS from Hostinger.

The deal signals that large tech companies are increasingly securing long-term compute resources to support AI-driven services. We're watching the great GPU arms race unfold in real-time, and whoever has the most silicon wins. FOMO is officially mainstream.

Shares of CoreWeave rose 3% in pre-market trading on Thursday. Not exactly a 10x, but in this market, a green candle is a W.
