Diplomacy HODL: Bitcoin Recovers Above $69K as Iran Considers Ceasefire Timeout
Bitcoin decided it wasn't ready to hand over the crown just yet, clawing back above $69,000 on Tuesday as risk markets staged a dramatic late-session reversal following reports that Iran was giving Pakistan's two-week ceasefire proposal a surprisingly warm reception. Because nothing says 'geopolitical de-escalation' like a nice fat green candle.
The White House confirmed President Trump had been fully briefed on the proposal, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavit reminding everyone that a response would be "forthcoming" - which in Washington-speak roughly translates to "we're still drafting the meme."
The crypto king clearly skipped his morning coffee, having a rough start to the session by dipping below $68,000 earlier in the day. But markets caught a serious case of ceasefire chatter, sending bitcoin on a beautiful climb to $69,400 by the close. The Nasdaq, not wanting to be left out of this geopolitical soap opera, managed to crawl into the green as well - modest gains, but gains nonetheless
