Diplomacy Pumps Bitcoin: BTC Rises 1.5% After Trump Hits Pause on Iran Bombing

By our Markets Desk1 min read

Apparently, diplomacy is the new macro catalyst nobody was expecting. Bitcoin surged past $71,000 following Donald Trump's announcement that he would pump the brakes on bombing campaigns against Iran for two weeks—provided the Strait of Hormuz stays open and talks actually go somewhere that isn't another round of "we're totally close, trust me."

The announcement came with a notable side effect: Bitcoin climbed 1.5% within minutes. Traders apparently decided that "maybe no regional war" counts as bullish. A minute-by-minute chart showing the rise in BTC price.
