Moo Deng Pumps 6.5% After Would-Be Content Creator Learns That Zoos Have Security (And So Does the Blockchain)

Moo Deng ($MOODENG) is up 6.5% in the last 24 hours—because apparently, nothing gets the chart pumping quite like a good old-fashioned trespassing scandal. Who needs DeFi yield farming when you have regulatory violations?

A man was fined $300 by a Thai court after hopping a fence at Khao Kheow Open Zoo to get some face time with viral pygmy hippo Moo Deng. He was arrested back in March, and surveillance footage shows him approaching the hippo's quarters with tablet in hand, recording content while zoo staff were elsewhere. The man clearly missed the memo that you can't just mint viral content by showing up to a celebrity's house uninvited.

Moo Deng was "slightly startled" but unharmed. The zoo's director told AFP that security protocols are being tightened, because apparently some people need to learn that "no visitors allowed" applies even when you're offering to film a viral moment. Imagine explaining to a Thai court that your content strategy involved scaling a fence to film a literal baby hippo instead of just shitposting from your couch like a normal degen.

The token remains nearly 93% off its all-time high of around $0.68 (roughly $680 million market cap), hit in November 2024. It currently trades near $0.048 with a $48 million market cap. So yes, your investment advice from that Telegram group was wrong, but at least you were in good company with people who thought trespassing was a valid growth
