NEAR and Render Catch a Bid as Anthropic's Glasswing Initiative Drops $100M to Remind Us AI Can Hack Better Than You

AI crypto tokens Render (RNDR) and Near Protocol (NEAR) are extending gains Wednesday, riding the coattails of Anthropic's newly launched Glasswing security initiative while the broader crypto market gets a tailwind from the US-Iran ceasefire vibes. Nothing says "risk on" quite like geopolitical tension taking a coffee break and AI companies deciding cybersecurity is their new side hustle.

Glasswing, a security initiative backed by a star-studded roster of tech giants including Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, and 40 additional organizations, has already uncovered thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities in leading operating systems and browsers. The secret sauce? A frontier model called Mythos Preview that apparently finds security bugs faster than your average human—and possibly faster than your above-average human too. Anthropic has committed $100 million in usage credits and $4 million in donations to open-source cybersecurity projects under the initiative. Imagine if your bug bounty hunting Discord channel had Jeff Bezos, Tim Cook, and Jensen Huang all pitching in for pizza money.

Apparently, AI models' coding capabilities now surpass the most skilled humans when it comes to finding or exploiting software risks. Security teams worldwide are probably not sleeping well. Meanwhile, your average degen is probably still trying to figure out which Discord link won't drain their wallet.

On the charts, Near Protocol is up 4% at press time, testing the 100-day EMA at $1.37—a key resistance zone that coincides with the 50% Fibonacci retracement level from the $1.89 to $0.84 drop. A decisive close above this zone could open the path toward $1.66, near the 200-day EMA at $1.68. The RSI sits at 64 in bullish territory, and MACD is turning positive, suggesting upside pressure is strengthening. If things go south, $NEAR could slip toward the 50-day EMA at $1.26. TA is always fun until it's not.

Render, meanwhile, is holding above $2.00 after a 10% jump the previous day, having closed above a descending trendline connecting the September 19 and January 11 highs near $1.93. The AI token is now probing the 200-day EMA at $2.12, with the 50-day and 100-day EMAs comfortably below at $1.72 and $1.75, respectively. A daily close above $2.12 could target the January 11 peak at $2.71. RSI is near 69—not yet overbought—while the MACD histogram expands positively above zero. The broken trendline near $1.93 remains key support; a slip below would nullify the breakout
