One in 100,000? Solo Bitcoin Miner Shrugged and Netted $222K Anyway

In what can only be described as the cryptocurrency equivalent of winning the lottery while simultaneously getting struck by lightning twice—while indoors—a solo Bitcoin miner casually walked away with an entire block reward, because why not.

The fortuitous individual mined block 944,306 on the Bitcoin network, pocketing a cool 3.128 BTC—roughly $222,000. Of this bounty, 3.125 BTC came from the block subsidy, while a mere 0.003 BTC came from transaction fees. Even the fees decided to crash the party, because apparently decentralized luck spreads around.

This unlikely champion achieved this feat using CKpool's solo mining software, because of course it was CKpool—because if you're going to defy cosmic probability, you might as well do it with the community's favorite ASIC-addicted developer.

But here's where things get absolutely unhinged. CKpool developer
