Buying the Dip or Inheriting the Down Payment? OKX CEO Xu Pulls Up CZ's Origin Story

OKX CEO Star Xu is tossing around some premium FUD—not at Bitcoin, but at what might be crypto's most beloved rags-to-riches tale. Turns out the origin story game is just as cutthroat as the altcoin market.

In case you somehow missed the literary event of the season, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao recently published a book. The memoir details him selling an apartment for $900,000 to purchase Bitcoin at $400. Peak diamond hands energy, right? The kind of conviction that makes retail traders weep into their loss porn.

Well, Xu apparently didn't get the memo about leaving legends alone.

Xu even dusted off some divorce math for this, citing Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates as reference points for how crypto OG wealth management actually works. He challenged CZ to produce a signed divorce agreement. If CZ can't deliver that paper trail, Xu says he'll officially categorize those claims as "public misrepresentation."

Ah, and that delightful 2015 OKCoin saga? Xu resurrected that relic too. You remember—the contract falsification accusations involving early Bitcoin maximalist Roger Ver. CZ addressed it in his book, framing it as a simple disagreement over "leadership and vision." Xu's response? Nah, the archived evidence and notarized video footage remain stubbornly on-chain.

Xu mentioned he'd previously kept this stuff off the public record. But apparently CZ's book crossed a
