Freedom to Call BS: CZ's Memoir Unlocks OKX Founder's 'Habitual Liar' Achievement
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has dusted off his Twitter fingers and jumped back into the crypto drama ring, dropping his 457-page autobiography "Freedom of Money" on April 8th. The memoir chronicles his journey from stacking sats to building the world's largest crypto exchange, but it's his spicy takes on rival exchange OKX that's really stealing the show. Because nothing says "I'm retired" like publishing a tell-all book about your enemies.
In the book, CZ revived some old grievances against OKX founder Star Xu. He accused Xu of trying to sabotage him with good old-fashioned FUD and called him an unfit CTO. CZ also brought up Huobi founder Leon Li, claiming Li told him back in 2015 that Xu had reported him to Chinese authorities—with a screenshot allegedly proving it. Apparently CZ has been saving receipts longer than most traders hold altcoins during a pump.
Star Xu wasn't about to let this slide quietly. "After spending four months in prison, he continues to make false statements to the world," Xu fired back. "All I can say is: a habitual liar never changes their nature." Classic Star Xu energy—zero patience for drama, maximum receipts energy. You love to see it.
Xu further clarified he has "no intention of revisiting these old issues involving CZ." But since CZ decided to go there, Xu dropped a 10-year-old YouTube video he claims shows evidence of contract forgery. Playing the clip like it's a reunions episode of "Crypto Beef: Past Lovers Edition."
For those who need the lore: CZ joined OKCoin (now OKX) as CTO in mid-201
