Bitcoin's Millionaire Club Now Has Room for Everyone—Thanks, $68K

By our Markets Desk2 min read

Well, it looks like Bitcoin's VIP section just got a promotion to general admission. Finbold's latest analysis shows that the number of Bitcoin addresses holding at least $1 million took a nosedive in Q1 2026, with tens of thousands of wallets politely declining their seven-figure membership as prices decided to play hard to get.

Between January 1 and March 31, 2026, the total count of Bitcoin addresses carrying seven-figure status slipped from 148,084 to 127,494. That's 20,590 addresses finding out they no longer qualify for the club—or roughly 13.90% evicted in three months flat. The timing lines up perfectly with Bitcoin's price tour from around $88,700 down to $68,200 by quarter's end—a 23% haircut that nobody asked for but everyone received.

Here's the plot twist nobody saw coming: these millionaire addresses didn't vanish because their owners were panic-selling on Twitter. The math just stopped cooperating as prices dropped. Turns out, being a Bitcoin millionaire is less about conviction and more about what the chart decides on any given Tuesday.

Zooming into the carnage by tier, addresses holding between $1 million and $10 million absorbed the bulk of the damage. This cohort cratered from 131,716 to 113,233, shedding 18,483 addresses like they were hot potatoes. These mid-tier dreamers definitely felt the correction's cruelest edge.

Even the whales couldn't dodge this one entirely. Addresses holding $10 million or more slipped from 16,368 to 14,261, losing 2,107 entries over the period. More resilient? Sure. Bulletproof? Apparently not—even leviathans can get a sunburn at these altitudes.

Comparing year-over-year paints an uglier picture. Q1 2026's contraction runs 47.7% deeper than Q1 2025's already grim 13,942 address loss. That's an extra 6,648 addresses deciding millionaire status wasn't worth the subscription fee this time around.

Here's where it gets spicy: this millionaire exodus overlapped
