White House Gets Its First Crypto Fight Club: Crypto.com Slaps $1M CRO Bonus on UFC's 250th Anniversary Card

UFC and Crypto.com are bringing the octagon to the White House this June 14 for Freedom 250—a historic mixed martial arts card marking America's 250th birthday. And Crypto.com isn't just watching from the crowd.

The crypto exchange announced it'll fund a $1 million bonus pool in $CRO, the native token of the Cronos blockchain. At April 11 exchange rates, that's roughly 14.6 million CRO. This isn't some small side hustle either—Dana White called it the largest fighter bonus in UFC history.

The catch? UFC hasn't released the criteria yet. Fighters won't just show up and collect—they'll need to earn it inside the cage. The bonus sits separate from UFC's standard Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night awards.

"The world will be watching on June 14," White said in the announcement.

Crypto.com Co-Founder and CEO Kris Marszalek tied the promo directly to his company's milestone: "I can think of no better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Crypto.com than by making history at the White House."

The partnership dates back to 2021 when Crypto.com became UFC's first Official Fight Kit Partner. This $1 million pool adds a fresh layer to that five-year relationship.

The main event? UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria defending against interim champ Justin Gaethje. The co-main sees former middleweight and light heavyweight king Alex Pereira stepping up for Ciryl Gane and a shot at becoming the first fighter to hold titles in three weight classes.

Paramount+ gets exclusive distribution in the US. UFC, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), runs over 40 live events yearly and reaches 950 million households across 210 countries.

For Crypto.com, this isn't just marketing—it's putting its money where its mouth is. Fighter payouts now have a crypto-shaped bonus track, and someone's about to get paid in tokens.
