PEPPER Gets a New Home: Chiliz Spins Up Fan Token Listing on BloFIN Exchange
Chiliz just made it easier to get your hands on PEPPER. The sports blockchain announced a strategic integration with BloFIN, bringing its fan token to the exchange's trading platform. Because apparently, holding $CHZ wasn't enough dopamine for the degens out there.
For the uninitiated, Chiliz is the Layer-1 blockchain that's basically the home team for sports and entertainment. They've built an ecosystem where fans can actually have a say in certain team decisions through fan tokens—all powered by their native currency, $CHZ. Think of it as democracy, but with more charts and less civic duty.
PEPPER itself is a community token built on the Chiliz chain. It's designed to boost user engagement and reward folks for staking their $CHZ. Now that it's on BloFIN, users can swap it with various supported crypto assets across multiple blockchain networks thanks to cross-chain interoperability. More bridges, more bridges, more bridges.
BloFIN, for those catching up, is a CEX and DEX platform founded in 2020 and based in the Cayman Islands. The name comes from the first three letters of "blockchain" and "finance"—because branding is hard. Someone probably said "we need a name" and three people simultaneously shouted different things until someone said "screw it, just mash them together."
The partnership is part of Chiliz's ongoing mission to widen access to its fan tokens. Now traders, investors, and random sports enthusiasts can all jump into the PEPPER pool. Splash zone tickets are available for those who like living dangerously.
If you want to dive deeper, there's an AMA scheduled for Thursday, April 14th at 14:00 CET on X Spaces. Max Rabinovitch, Chief Strategy Officer at Chiliz, will be hosting. Expect some spicy takes. Or at the very least, expect someone to definitely not answer the question about token utility.
