Nouriel Roubini, the economist nicknamed "Doctor Doom" after nailing the 2008 financial crisis, has officially left the doomscrolling subreddit. At the Greenwich Economic Forum in Hong Kong, he unveiled his bullish outlook: AI is here to stay, and it's gearing up to supercharge the global economy. One might think he's been replaced by a chatbot, but here we are.

Forget bubble territory—Roubini says AI will be the driver for the next 10 to 20 years, geopolitics and populism be damned. While the rest of us are still arguing about whether JPEG collections are civilization's crowning achievement, the good doctor is betting on silicon instead of jpegs.

"That fundamental story is a positive for the world at large," he stated, seemingly unshaken by current Middle East tensions or any other short-term noise. In crypto terms, he's basically saying the macro TA is bullish on a higher timeframe, and you should stop checking the 1-minute chart every five minutes.

The U.S. and China stand to benefit most, given their dominance in AI and semiconductor innovation. The rest of the world is essentially playing for second place while these two giants mine the AI gold rush.
