XRP Lands on Solana, Now Tradeable via WhatsApp CATEGORY: Industry News

Following $XRP's debut on the Solana blockchain, traders can now swap the asset without ever leaving WhatsApp—because apparently, we needed another reason to never close that app. X user @sol_nxxn shared a screenshot of successfully exchanging 0.1 $SOL for roughly 5.99 wXRP, commenting, "I just bought $XRP on Solana through WhatsApp. Solana is officially ready for boomers." It's a milestone in the push to normalize crypto trading through interfaces people already know and obsessively check.

The breakthrough stems from bridging $XRP to Solana via omnichain interoperability protocol LayerZero and institutional custodian Hex Trust. The asset now lives on Solana as an SPL token: wXRP. The integration went live on April 17. As a wrapped token behaving like a native Solana asset, wXRP plays nicely with every DEX and smart contract the network has to offer.

The WhatsApp experience runs on AI trading bots built with AI Agent APIs that handle natural language commands. Users simply type instructions like "Buy 0.1 $SOL worth of wXRP," which then funnel through Solana DEX aggregators. These bots connect to a non-custodial wallet, parsing what you actually want and executing the trade—no need to launch a dedicated DeFi app or pretend you understand how liquidity pools work.

Wrapped $XRP now unlocks Solana's DeFi playground: lending and borrowing on Kamino and Marginfi, automated market makers like Raydium and Orca, Web3 wallets including Backpack, and plenty more where that came from.
