Ripple on Tuesday said it has opened a new office in downtown Washington, D.C. The expansion will serve as a base for pushing US crypto policy and promoting blockchain innovation, the classic Beltway play for any firm that wants a seat before the next hearing.

Ripple Opens New Office in Washington, D.C.

Ripple announced the opening of its expanded Washington, D.C. office in a press release on June 2. The company said the move reinforces its long-term commitment to working directly with policymakers, regulators, and industry partners. Leaders emphasized the need for clear rules that protect consumers while letting responsible innovation breathe, so the US does not fall behind globally. As frameworks such as the CLARITY Act take shape, Ripple said it is taking part in the process. "Ripple has always believed the future of digital assets should be built with policymakers and regulators, not around them," said Ripple CLO Stuart Alderoty. He added that the expansion reflects the firm's dedication to policy engagement, regulatory clarity, and US leadership in financial innovation.

Hub for Crypto Regulations and Blockchain Innovation Advocacy

The expanded office will act as a hub for Ripple's policy advocacy and stakeholder meetings in Washington, D.C. The company will focus on practical policy solutions and host conversations on blockchain innovation that balance trust, transparency, and consumer protection. The move builds on more than a decade of Ripple's work developing enterprise blockchain tools for faster cross-border payments, custody, and liquidity management. The company continues to grow its crypto–traditional finance footprint through XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin, the latter of which went live in Turkey the same day. The announcement underlines Ripple's ongoing bet that America can lead in digital finance if it keeps showing up in the capital.
