Binance Pulls Plug On NFT Service, Gives Users One Month To Withdraw Assets

Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, has announced it will wind down its NFT service, giving users a one-month window to move their assets before they become inaccessible.

According to a notice dated June 3, the exchange will migrate its NFT feature and transfer NFT management to Binance Wallet. The stated goal is to deliver a "more seamless and integrated NFT experience" and let users tap into Web3 and decentralized features through the wallet platform.

Binance said users holding transferable NFTs must withdraw them between June 3 and July 3, 2026. Holders can move assets to Binance Wallet or "any other compatible wallets of their choice." After July 3, "users will no longer access support for the current NFT service on Binance Exchange," the company warned, and any NFTs left behind "will no longer be accessible." A gentle eviction notice with a hard deadline.

To nudge procrastinators, Binance plans to send notifications to users with transferable NFTs and reminders throughout the one-month window. A month is plenty of time, though in crypto that's roughly three narratives and one rug pull.

The shutdown comes shortly after the exchange rolled out tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, available to non-U.S. users looking to gain exposure to U.S. equities in international markets. Apparently, some things on Binance are more collectible than others.

What About Non-Transferable NFTs?

Not every NFT on the platform is portable. Binance acknowledged that some assets were designed to be non-transferable and therefore cannot be withdrawn, meaning they will also become unavailable after July 3, 2026. For affected users, alternate documentation is in the works.

The exchange's education arm, Binance Academy, will issue a PDF certificate to those who held non-transferable NFTs as proof of course completion. A small consolation prize, but at least it's something to show for the effort.
